Open Question: When do you make your high school schedule?

At the beginning of the new year, or the end of the previous year? I'm just getting into sophomore year, and I missed quite a few days at the end of the year, so I don't know if I missed an announcement about schedules or something or not.Either way, it has been haunting me in my dreams. And I also know that every school is different.
